  Chrysler Lease Car Program Announcement

Attention: Retired Employee/Surviving Spouse Lease Car Program Update

 As previously communicated, the Company announced the phase out of the Employee Lease Car Program due to the lack of vehicle financing alternatives. Unfortunately, due to the economic realities, Chrysler Group LLC has had to make the difficult decision to continue with the phase out of the retiree portion of the program while maintaining a smaller, scaled down program which will include active employees only. .

 Annual Benefits Enrollment begins November 4th

 Pre-age 65 salaried retirees and surviving spouses will receive benefit enrollment kits during the week of October 26. Get an early start and make your elections on the Your Benefits Resources website. Online-only elections begin November 4. Phone enrollments begin November 9. the deadline to enroll is November 18. You've probably heard in the news that Chrysler Financial decided to get out of the Leasing business. Find out about this and more at ChryslerFinancial.com.

Links to the cover letter and Summary Modification Materials (SMM) for UAW retirees and surviving spouses have been added to the Union Retirees Benefits section.
These materials summarize benefit changes from the recent UAW negotiations and will be mailed to all UAW retirees and surviving spouses after November 21, 2007.

2007 Agreement for UAW employees and retirees covered by the National Agreement
Under the new national agreement between Chrysler and the UAW, which was ratified this past week, pension benefits for employees, retirees and surviving spouses covered by that agreement have been increased. Changes will be effective retroactive to October 1, 2007. Details regarding the timing of payments to retirees and surviving spouse and updates for employee credited service, estimates and/or Retirement Kits are not yet available. Further information will be available by June 2008.

Newly Retired and Plan to Use your Employee Advantage Discount?
If you have just retired and plan to use your Employee Advantage discount, you will need to contact the Employee Advantage Hotline at 800-756-2886. Upon retiring, your information is in transition from the active roles to the retiree roles. This may take up to six weeks. During that transition, your employment information is not available either on the web site or the automated phone system. If you speak with an Employee Advantage Agent, they will be able to verify your status and provide a control number.

Stable Value Fund Name Change
Attention U.S. Savings Plan Participants,

Effective immediately, the DaimlerChrysler Corporation Stable Value Fund A, B and C will be renamed. The funds will now be named the Chrysler Stable Value Fund A, the Chrysler Stable Value Fund B and the Chrysler Stable Value Fund C. The new fund names will appear on the Merrill Lynch Benefits OnLine Web site and on future plan statements. This change does not affect the fundŐs investment objective. There is no action you need to take as a result of this change.
